LAFC find themselves just outside the playoffs spot in MLS Western Conference. Having failed to pick up a single win in the last three games in July and all of August, this barren run of no wins in eight league games was put to an end at the beginning of September with a comfortable 4-0 win against Sporting Kansas City. They followed this up with hard-fought wins against Real Salt Lake and Austin FC- the team looking like a side on a mission. Although LA Galaxy is in 6th position in the Western Conference, it has been a similar story for them form-wise. It is safe to be said that it has been slightly worse for Greg Vanney and the boys as they head into this game without a win eight league matches.
