Highly-anticipated encounter on the cards

Atletico Madrid played out a goalless stalemate in their group stage opener against FC Porto. Both sides lacked endeavour in the final third and had to shake hands for a share of the spoils. We expected Simeone's troops to get back to winning ways, however, we thought wrong as they were handed their first league loss of the season away at Alaves. It took the hosts just four minutes to break the deadlock and Victor Laguardia's opener proved to be all that was needed to secure maximum points for his side. Goals have been hard to come by for the Spanish champions as they possess the worst scoring record amongst the top 10 sides in the LaLiga Standings and as such, Griezmann, Suarez and Co. would need to start banging in the goals if they're to push for the title as well as a place in the UCL knockout stage.
